Anna's Biography
Anna Fairclough is a lifelong Alaska. She and her two sons have lived in Eagle River since 1985. Anna is a graduate of the Anchorage Public School District and has served on the Assembly for the past six years.
Anna represents Assembly Section 2, Seat C encompassing Anchorage's two military installations from Muldoon to Eklutna.
Anna is the Executive Director of STAR, a non-profit, and manages a budget of over a million dollars. Under her leadership, STAR has decreased its reliance on government funds for its operating costs from almost 60% to 40%.
Anna has been active in numerous community organizations over the years including service on; the Mayor's 9/11 Task Force, Assembly Vice-Chair, AMATS Assembly Liaison, and Task Force for the Convention Center under the Wuerch Administration. Anna serves on the National Sexual Violence & Resource Committee and is a Founding Board Member of the Alaska Veterans Memorial Museum.
