Anna's BiographyAnna Fairclough has been an active volunteer in our community for over 22 years. Anna is a graduate of the Anchorage Public School District and has been a resident of Alaska for 46 years. In 1999 Anna was first elected as our Assembly representative. She was subsequently re-elected two more times and served as Chair and Co-Chair. In 2006 she resigned her Assembly position after being elected as our State House Representative for District 17 (Eagle River, Skyline Drive and West Eagle River Valley). Anna is currently the Development Director for Hospice of Anchorage. Prior to that, she was Executive Director of STAR (Standing Together Against Rape). She resigned this position to have more time to devote to her State House of Representative responsibilities. Anna has been active in numerous community organizations over the years including service on the Mayor's 9/11 Task Force, Assembly Vice-Chair, AMATS Assembly Liaison, and Task Force for the Convention Center under the Wuerch Administration. Anna serves on the National Sexual Violence & Resource Committee and is a Founding Board Member of the Alaska Veterans Memorial Museum.
